Olbia, the regulation for beach weddings has been approved
Councilor Pinna: "A concrete step towards an increasingly dynamic, young and attractive city"
Olbia, during the city council last Wednesday the regulation for the celebration of marriages and civil unions was approved.
Councilor Salvatore Pinna comments: «From today you can get married in many wonderful places in our municipality. With your feet immersed in the crystal clear waters of the gulf, on the splendid island of Tavolara, in the characteristic and renowned Piazzetta San Marco in Porto Rotondo, in the garden of the Archaeological Museum or, again, in the greenery of the fantastic Fausto Noce park. The positive effects can only be had on the entire supply chain that concerns ceremonies: from clothes to catering, through the hospitality and traditions of our territory, from pastry making to floriculture. The strategy is therefore aimed at giving new impetus to the economic fabric of our city, which today more than ever needs stimuli and resources to be able to become competitive and to maintain the high standards that have always characterized the Gallura tourist industry, with the aim to attract more and more visitors and enhance places with unique scenography, in the name of sustainable tourism."
«Today more than ever we need to develop ecological sensitivity in every area of our lives – intervenes the councilor and president of the culture commission Simonetta Padre –. It is necessary to continue the plastic-free path in schools and introduce it into other realities. Therefore, even weddings can become eco-friendly, if correct and conscious choices are made. The regulation states that plastic cannot be used either in the case of banqueting or for displays, including balloons which, when released into the air, do not romantically disappear into the sky as in the collective imagination, but go on to pollute."
«Olbia can and must continue to grow, – continues Pinna – and it is the administration's precise task to provide our fellow citizens with the necessary tools. This regulation is a concrete step towards an increasingly dynamic, young and attractive city."
«A big thank you goes to the municipal offices, whose contribution was decisive» concludes the councilor.
