Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi: "Closeness and solidarity with the 16 law enforcement officers injured in Bologna"

“I personally spoke to the Police Commissioner of Bologna to ascertain the health conditions and express closeness and solidarity to the 16 law enforcement workers attacked yesterday while they were busy ensuring the necessary security framework for the liberation of an area owned by the Municipality ” stated the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi.

“Once again, uniformed personnel have suffered the intolerable violence of those who attempted to prevent the restoration of legality, with the use of very serious behaviors that find fertile ground in a feeling of impunity.

And this is why we will continue to work, also during the parliamentary examination of the new security bill, to strengthen the tools to protect members of the police force, whom I thank for the balance and professionalism with which they know how to manage situations very complex" stressed the owner of the Interior Ministry.
