Mission of Minister Tajani to Brescia for Growth Diplomacy.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, was today at Brescia to meet various exponents of the Lombardy productive fabric.
The mission, which is part of the numerous initiatives for Growth Diplomacy initiated by the Government, aims to encourage theinternationalization of companies active in the territory, with the aim – announced by Deputy Prime Minister - of «bring more Italy into the world». To this end, Tajani promoted, last December, the first meeting of the States General of exports, and, in the months just passed, various initiatives to support the Italian productive fabric.
Lombardy is the first Italian region in terms of value of exported goods, with over 162 billion euros in 2022, equal to 26% of national exports. The main sectors in terms of exports are machinery and metals, textiles and clothing and chemicals. The Province of Brescia, in particular, it is the fourth nationally for sales abroad.
«Italy is a great exporting power and protagonist of global value chains»Said Tajani, reiterating the Government's commitment to «foster meeting opportunities between entrepreneurs, consolidate relationships with our historic commercial partners and broaden our gaze towards other high-potential markets». The deputy prime minister underlined, in particular, that «the constant dialogue between Government, businesses, artisans and associations is essential to respond together to the challenges posed by the current complex international situation».
«The objective of growth requires us to work looking to the future, to find solutions to today's problems, in the interest of our territories, with an eye towards tomorrow»he concluded Tajani.
