Minister Crosetto meets with Saudi Arabian Minister of Defense Prince Khalid Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz

On October 22, the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto he met a Rome Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, to discuss issues of bilateral interest related to to the security and strategic cooperation.

During the meeting, Minister Crosetto reiterated the fundamental role that Saudi Arabia takes place in the Middle Eastern area, considered by Rome a strategic partner in promoting regional stability and security. Both ministers expressed their willingness to work together to address the challenges posed by the current complex geopolitical and geostrategic situation in the area, agreeing on the need to find diplomatic solutions that can contribute to international peace and security.

“We talked about the work we can do together in current crisis areas, from Gaza to Lebanon, from Ukraine to the Red Sea, to achieve rapid de-escalation,” said the Minister Crosetto, who added *”We also discussed possible cooperation in the defense industry and between the Armed Forces of our two nations.” The meeting concluded with the confirmation of the mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia, with a view to an increasingly profitable collaboration aimed at building a secure and stable future for both nations.
