Lieutenant Marco Coira, in 1999, demonstrated extraordinary courage and dedication when, despite not having his own weapon, He boldly confronted three criminals during an armed robbery in a supermarket in Rome. Despite the serious injuries inflicted by the robbers, he continued to fight them, later providing crucial elements for the investigations that led to the capture of those responsible.
