Milano, Book pride 2024: from 8 to 10 March the eighth edition of the national independent publishing fair.

With 200 publishing brands, over a thousand square meters of books and 550 guests from Italy and the world, it was presented on Wednesday, at Palazzo Marino, at Milano, the program of the eighth edition of Book Pride, the literary event promoted by ADEI – Association of Independent Publishers, in collaboration with the Municipality of Milano, which will be held from 8 to 10 March at Superstudio Maxi (Via Moncucco, 35 – Metro Line M2 Famagosta).

“What do we want”. This is the symbolic phrase of the new 2024 edition, represented in the poster signed by Sarah Mazzetti and the result of the discussion between the team of curators - led by Laura Pezzino and Marco Amerighi - which includes Valentina De Poli for Book Young/YA and the cartoonist Martoz for Book Comics.

«Milano it has long been the reading capital of Italy - declares Thomas Bags, Councilor for Culture – and for book enthusiasts Book Pride undoubtedly represents one of the most anticipated events of the year. With the choice of the theme of this edition, "What do we want", the independent publishing fair confirms its ability to be a continuous stimulus for everyone, managing to interest and involve different generations with different interests. But the common denominator always remains in-depth analysis, comparison and research which become, in the space of these three days, a factor of cultural and social aggregation".

Also for this 2024 the event will see the participation of a special curator: he will be the basketball star Gigi Date, author of a capsule of meetings between sport, music and literature: "I am happy, after having participated as a user and as a speaker, that this year the friends of Book Pride have decided to add me to Marco Amerighi and Laura Pezzino as special curator of the 2024 edition. I will organize events to talk about sport, music and obviously books."
