Meloni hears Michel on the EU budget and international crises.

The President of the Council Giorgia Meloni had a telephone conversation with the President of the European Council Charles Michel, in view of the Extraordinary European Council of February 1st. In addition to the prospects of approving the review of the EU multiannual budget 2021-27, “the main themes of the international agenda were discussed, starting fromRussian aggression of Ukraine and from the crisis in Middle East and in Red Sea".

Meanwhile, the Egyptian ambassador to Italy, Bassam Rady, sent Prime Minister Meloni a message from the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, who, in thanking for the good wishes sent by Meloni for his re-election which took place last December, underlines the «distinct bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and the aspiration to develop these relations for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and all the peoples of the region, as well as greater mutual coordination on regional issues".
