Meloni, Tajani, and Crosetto have been charged with complicity in genocide with the ICC. The prime minister: "Be careful, otherwise things will get out of hand."

Last night, on the TV show "Door to door"Prime Minister Meloni announced that she has been reported to the International Criminal Court for complicity in genocide. Together with the President of the Council, also ministers Crosetto and Tajani and Leonardo's CEO, Roberto Cingolani.

Regarding the issue, Meloni stated: “Now I believe that there is no other case in the world or in history of a complaint like this.”. She then added: "It's history, it's what we've seen in recent years and months. Now we've reached the International Criminal Court, they no longer know where to report us to try to intervene through legal channels." Meloni then declared that she agreed with the statement made by Economy Minister Giorgetti, according to whom “The left doesn't come to power through elections, it usually gets there through a judicial or financial coup.”

The complaint to the ICC was announced by the Global Movement to Gaza Italy. It has not been established who denounced the Prime Minister and the ministers, as both associations and individuals can move in this directionThe Hague has declared, however, that for the time being the accusation remains only an accusation, stating: “only the decisions of the prosecutor have official value and no decision exists”.

On the issue, Meloni also adds: “I see many things that we are starting to take for granted, and they are not normal. I no longer count the death threats, I don't even have time to report them. And I think there are responsibilities, for example of those who say that I have blood on my hands, that I and this government are complicit in genocide." He also comments on the internal tension by stating: “I fear that the climate could worsen if we don't remind everyone of their sense of responsibility. I'm someone who knows how to navigate political conflict, but we're starting to experiment with something different, and I think those who thought they could stir up protests are underestimating it. Be careful because then things get out of hand".

The President of the Council also stressed that among the European states, Italy has the most rigid position regarding the supply of weapons to Israel, declaring that no new shipments have been authorized after October 7, 2023Meloni then added: “France, Macron which recognizes the State of Palestine, he made this choice a year after us, Germany this August, Britain blocked 30 out of 350 suppliesWe have held the most rigid position and we are accused of things we have not done in surreal tones by those who have responsibilities in the ruling class of this nation."
