“Lombardy for Women”: 400 euros per month to help pay babysitters and facilitate their return to work

A concrete help from 400 per month for the women who have been unemployed for at least 3 months or have been working for no more than 60 days and intend to return to full-time employment but have to deal with the babysitter costs.

This is what the announcement provides for.Lombardy for women – care service vouchers', financed with 4 million euro and opened on November 15th on the digital platform for calls for tenders of the Lombardy Region.

“The Lombardy Region is leading the way at a national level – explains the regional councillor for Education, Training and Work Simona Tironi – and contributes to the expenses incurred by women who use the family booklet or have signed an employment contract with babysitters, educators or family assistants. Our contribution will cover 12 months, thus allocating 4.800 euros to each working woman, to which is added a one-off 'bonus' for a maximum of 300 euros to reimburse the expenses incurred for the administrative management services of the contract. A measure that all women can take advantage of, with ease, because there is no ISEE limit”.

“For women,” she continues, “the decision to work and the ways in which they carry out this activity are often influenced by the responsibility they have to care for minors or relatives who are no longer self-sufficient. They are therefore forced to accept a particularly difficult challenge that, inevitably, affects people who do not have support services available to them.”

The measure is aimed at women resident or domiciled in Lombardy that, after a period of unemployment or inactivity, they are recently returned to the job market (no more than 60 days from the date of submission of the application) with an employment contract subordinate or parasubordinate for a duration of at least 6 months or, alternatively, with opening a VAT number or a sole proprietorship. Among the recipients of the 'voucher' are also women who decide to convert your employment contract from part-time to full-time.

"In fact - he underlines Tironi – 'Lombardy for women' allows us to achieve two important objectives: guaranteeing jobs to mothers who can look forward to full-time work with greater serenity and, at the same time, contributing to the emergence of 'black work' of housekeepers and carers who are not always regularly contracted".

The announcement is available on www.bandi.regione.lombardia.it e and will close at 12pm on December 15th.
