Lombardy, the motion for the high speed line between Brescia and Verona approved, the ball is in the state's court

Councilor Terzi: "It is strategic for the territory"

Lombardy, “Building the Basso Garda station on the Brescia-Verona high-speed/high-capacity line is strategic for the territory. I wrote a letter to the Extraordinary Commissioner of the AV/AC BS-VR Vincenzo Macello and to the General Directorate of Transport and Railway Infrastructure of the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility (MIMS) highlighting the importance of the station for tourism and territorial development and asking the involvement of the Lombardy Region with respect to the hypotheses in the field", declared the regional councilor for Infrastructure, Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Claudia Maria Terzi, regarding the motion on the 'enhancement of the Gardesano Basin with the creation of a station for the TAV section ' approved this afternoon in the Regional Council.

Local support

“High-speed rail is the responsibility of the state – continued Terzi -, but approving the motion was still important to once again signal the will of the territory: after all, local authorities have also already expressed their opinion in this sense, as have economic stakeholders".
