Liguria, over 800 thousand euros for seismic improvement of the Albenga fire station and the municipality of Laigueglia.

Over 800 thousand euros in total for the seismic improvement of the Albenga fire station, the town hall and municipal operations center of Laigueglia and for the demolition and reconstruction of a stretch of provincial road 23 in Castelnuovo Magra.
These are resources of Fund for the prevention of seismic risk allocated by the Liguria Region through a Civil Protection decree for structural interventions that have the aim of reducing the risk and improving the quality and resistance of infrastructures in the event of seismic events. The interventions fall within the Plan of structural interventions for the prevention of seismic risk of public buildings of strategic interest and of infrastructural works whose functionality is of fundamental importance in terms of civil protection.

406 thousand euros have been allocated to the seismic improvement of the fire station, which will be managed by the Province of Savona, while 435 thousand euros have been allocated to the seismic improvement of the municipality and the Coc of Laigueglia. Over 46 thousand for provincial 23: in the latter case the intervention concerns a stretch beneath which a watercourse flows, the roof of which will be redone from scratch.

The work of the Liguria Region on safety and risk reduction continues unabated, on all fronts – concludes Giampedrone – from interventions on the seismic aspect such as this, up to the great work for the reduction of hydrogeological risk which, in recent years, has seen unprecedented investments from Ponente to Levante".
