Lecco: the local police wins the regional tender for the purchase of new equipment

In the face of a cost estimate of 67.941,80 euros, aimed at the purchase of new technical-instrumental equipment to be allocated to the staff of the local police command, the Municipality of Lecco was awarded the maximum expected co-financing of 20 thousand euros.

The project of the Lecco command, approved on March 20th by the regional council, provides for the purchase of 45 portable radios, 2 vehicular radios to be installed on new vehicles, 6 Bluetooth headphones for the station operators and 2 approved breathalyzers. With this further step, the computerization of the command operations center ends, which will further improve the efficiency of the radio communications between the operations center and the operators in external service, telephone communications to users, and external operations in traffic police services.

Thus the councilor for social cohesion, with responsibility for the local police, of the Municipality of Lecco Simone Piazza: "An important project worth approximately 68 thousand euros, which falls within the lines of attention and political planning of the municipal administration of Lecco for the modernization and strengthening of the local police force. Thanks also to the co-financing of the Lombardy Region of 20 thousand euros, obtained from the Municipality of Lecco on a dedicated tender, we can in fact complete the computerization of the command operations center and acquire modern instruments, to allow agents and operators to have equipment and tools more performing and to respond in an increasingly attentive and punctual manner to the requests and needs of the territory.
