“Participation in the refreshment, restart and strategy calls – underlines the Welfare councilor of the Municipality of Lecco Emanuele Manzoni – has helped more than eighty associations to carry out their traditional activities or to commit themselves to developing new ones, from culture to the protection of environment, from sport to the care and education of people. We wanted our citizens to be able to participate in structured and safe gatherings in this delicate phase and this happened. The third sector plays an important role in the city and it was right to make resources available that they could count on. Many projects presented met the administration's hopes because they involved networks of associations proposing innovative projects consistent with our objectives. The social fabric of our city will be even richer from now on thanks to the legacy of these projects. From myself and the entire council, thanks go to the third sector bodies who participated and believed that overcoming the difficulties of this pandemic had to happen through collaboration, sociality and the recovery of the sense of community."
