Latina: the final projects relating to the Falcone and Borsellino park, the former printing house and the sports facility in via dei Mille have been approved.
Approved laid down by the municipal council di Latina which met in 26nd June three projects definitive conclusions relating to urban regeneration interventions that have obtained Pnrr funding. These are the projects that concern the Falcone e Borsellino park, the former printing house in Viale XVIII Dicembre and the sports facility in Via dei Mille.
The intervention planned for the Falcone e Borsellino park is that of greater entity which will cost around 5,5 million euros. The project provides for the improvement of quality of urban decorum, the promotion di organisers' activities cultural and educational, the of your digital ecosystem. , but also the creation of routes, green areas and structured spaces for cultural and sporting activities. For the structure in Viale XVIII Dicembre, approximately 1,2 million euros are expected. It will be used as a space of public interest with social and aggregative purposes.
The adaptation of the sports facility aimed at the competitive activity of the sports hall, swimming pool and municipal gym in via Dei Mille is instead 300 thousand euros. The intervention involves the execution of consolidation works, rehabilitation and renovation of the municipal indoor swimming pool and changing rooms, consisting in particular in the consolidation of the swimming pool village floor aimed at eliminating the present deterioration phenomena, the rehabilitation of the overflow channel system and finally the renovation of four athletes' changing rooms and two changing rooms referees located on the first floor of the municipal gym.
Complete the list of designs di regeneration financed with i Pnrr funds the intervention relating to the maintenance for the reuse and refunctionalization of the former nursery school building in via Milazzo for new use as a space of public interest (approximately 1,7 million euros). The 139 thousand euro intervention relating to fire prevention works, adaptation of the smoke and heat detection system and the audio evacuation system for the sports hall, however, is close to completion and delivery of the works. The Municipality participated in the overall expenditure of the five Pnrr interventions for the design costs only.
“The works of the three projects approved by the council – explained the deputy mayor Massimiliano Carnevale with delegations to Public Works and Pnrr- they must be entrusted by July 31st. It's a race against time. We have given priority to the most important intervention, the one relating to the Falcone e Borsellino park, which will allow us to redevelop one of the most important areas of the city. In the next few days we will also bring to the council the intervention relating to the school in via Milazzo which does not require a landscape opinion. Thanks to the work of the offices it was possible to recover a lot of time - he concluded – because they were projects that risked being compromised, but today we are in full swing to be able to bring the interventions home".
