Italy-Ukraine Business Forum in view of the 2025 Reconstruction Conference in Rome

The Vice President of the Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, chaired yesterday at the Farnesina the Plenary session of the Italy-Ukraine Business Forum, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

“1000 days after the unjustified invasion of Ukraine by Russia, we reiterate the full and convinced support of the Italian Government towards Kiev and its population not only in political, economic and military terms, but also for future reconstruction” he commented Tajani. “The Italian System is ready to provide assistance for the recovery of Ukraine in the context of the EU accession process and to establish new industrial partnerships that will benefit from the country's presence in the European single market” continued the Minister, who highlighted how the presence of 200 Italian and 50 Ukrainian companies at the Forum demonstrate the strong interest of the two countries in collaborating in this area as well.

The session was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Julia Svyrydenko, the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine, Vitalii Koval, the President of ICE Matthew Zoppas and the acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Luisa Riccardi. At the end of the session, a series of joint declarations and agreements will be finalized.

The Forum, which will see the presence of Italian and Ukrainian economic operators, the main financial institutions and trade associations, is a preparatory event for the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held in Rome il And July 10 11 2025: will be divided into a series of meetings B2B and B2G and thematic tables on sectors identified as priorities for the reconstruction of Ukraine: metallurgy and critical raw materials, energy transition and renewable energy, defense industry, agro-industry and machinery.
