Israel strikes school "used by terrorists"

The army calls for the evacuation of several neighborhoods in Gaza City

Israel strikes a school "used by terrorists".

The Israeli army announced that it had struck "terrorists" who were using "a school" in Nuseirat and asked Palestinians from several neighborhoods of Gaza City to evacuate the area and head to the designated «humanitarian zone».

The newspaper Haaretz revealed instead that, in the initial chaos of the October 7 attack, Jewish state troops used the so-called “Hannibal Protocol”, a directive that requires the use of force to prevent the abduction of soldiers, even at the cost of their lives or that of Israeli hostages.

Meanwhile, the defense minister Yoav Gallant, said the army would continue to fight Hezbollah in Lebanon even if one is reached truce in the Strip.

At the same time, Hamas warned that the expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza and the displacement of thousands of residents could have "disastrous repercussions" on talks aimed at a ceasefire and the release of Israeli hostages.

The group said its main political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, warned the mediators of the collapse of negotiations, stating that the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli army would have some "full responsibility".

In a previous statement, Hamas said that Netanyahu «continues to pose further obstacles to negotiations».
