Grosseto: Management of the municipal astronomical observatory assigned.

The comparative procedure for the agreement between the Municipality of Grosseto and the third sector association for the loan of the municipal astronomical observatory and for the management of educational, informative and scientific activities relating to astronomical culture has been concluded

The procedure was started with Council Resolution no. 65 of 14 March, and with Management Resolution no. 776 of March 21, the notice and related attachments were approved.

In response to it there was an expression of interest, positively evaluated by the specific evaluation commission, appointed with Management Provision no. 527 of 9 May. Finally, Managerial Resolution no. 1218 of 16 May approved the ranking and formally identified the winning entity.

The management of the Observatory located in Casette di Mota, near Roselle, for the next five years will be the responsibility of the Maremma Astronomical Studies Association (AMSA) which, through a detailed loan agreement and agreement, has undertaken to carry out careful management of the structure, which will be open to themed initiatives and observation of the sky.
