Meloni's return marks the start of an intense week for the government. A summit with the majority leaders and a Council of Ministers is scheduled for Friday in which the future of Raffaele Fitto, the current minister and probable new European commissioner for Italy, will be discussed. Fitto, who could move to Brussels in December, has received from Meloni the task of resolving the dispute with the European Union regarding beach concessions, a complex issue that the prime minister hopes to address with legislation that satisfies both European and international needs. of Italian entrepreneurs.

Rumors of a possible cabinet reshuffle are on ice for now, pending the outcome of the request to commit Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè to trial.
