It was an opportunity to discuss the many initiatives currently being developed or implemented within the framework of the “Turismo delle Radici” project.

«The ambition of the project – declared the Undersecretary Tripodi - is to encourage employment and economic development in internal areas that are generally on the margins of the country's productive and commercial activity. Through the valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage of small villages, the project is a precious driving force for the Italian tourism sector and is aimed in particular at the approximately 80 million Italians and Italian-descendants in the world, who will thus have the opportunity to visit the places from which their ancestors left."
