Crotone, proposed by the Municipality the redevelopment of the "Sector A" sports facility within the City of Sports.
The Municipality of Crotone has presented its candidacy to be valid on Sport and Suburbs 2023 call promoted by the Department for Sport, a fund established by the Government to carry out building interventions for sports facilities.
The proposal for the redevelopment of the "Sector A" sports facility has been presented, inside the City of Sport in via Gioacchino da Fiore.
The intervention aims to increase the usability of the facility for competitive practices, especially within the geodetic structure which requires major redevelopment interventions.
Once the intervention is completed, it will be possible to practice the disciplines of Boxing, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo and Volleyball at a competitive level.
The changing rooms will also be expanded to accommodate more athletes, as well as energy efficiency measures are planned.
«It is a proposal that goes in the direction of completing the administration's action for the full realization of the city of Sport. The structure was the only one not yet subject to interventions and redevelopment actions. We hope to obtain funding to further cover the range of disciplines that can be practiced in the area once the interventions already financed have been completed: Sector B for Athletics and Football, the Indoor citadel for Gymnastics and FIJLKAMS disciplines, the Tufolo field for Outdoor 11-a-side football, volleyball and basketball, the Geodesic Structure for basketball, handball, tennis as well as the Olympic swimming pool which is back in full operation. The project presented was drawn up internally by the PNRR and Complex Programs structure, to whom I would like to thank for the work carried out", declared the councilor for Sports Facilities and Complex Programs Luca Bossi.
