Campobasso, a new anti-stadium in Selvapiana.

The City of Campobasso has obtained an important new loan under the PNRR band dedicated to Sport and inclusion.

In fact, after the funding obtained for Villa De Capoa and the Sala Alphaville, the municipal administration of Palazzo San Giorgio has had its request for financing accepted for the adaptation and regeneration of the multi-purpose facility of the Selvapiana Anti-stadium.

600.000 euros of funds will be made available by the PNRR, while another 200.000 euros will be provided as co-financing by the Municipality of Campobasso.

The Selvapiana Anti-stadium

The Antistadium facility is located in an urban context mainly intended for sports facilities serving the community. Specifically, we will proceed with the regeneration of existing structures and the simultaneous efficiency of them through the use of specific technology and using renewable sources and compatible materials, in compliance with the provisions of the type of systems included in the PNRR tender.

The financing of the PNRR

“The last piece was added today with the publication of the results of the requested funding, under the PNRR. The Selvapiana anti-stadium can finally be renovated, having obtained 600.000 euros which will be added to the 200.000 of co-financing by the Municipality of Campobasso".

"Not only the roof will be completely replaced and the playing surface will be restored, but energy efficiency and recovery works will be carried out on the other two adjacent pitches, on which other sports disciplines will be offered".

“In a fairly short time, imposed by the procedures that regulate the PNRR, we will finally be able to provide the city with a safer and more efficient playing field for which we are already working to guarantee the best possible management."

The project

With the adaptation and regeneration intervention planned for the Selvapiana anti-stadium, as mentioned, the artificial grass surface of the main playing field will be remade, using organic material for the infill, certified and non-polluting, removing the existing one made of rubber granules.

The two smaller fields will be repaved with a certified surface for the performance of sports relating to the game of padel and footvolley; the lighting system, currently made up of incandescent lamps, will be modernized by installing LED technology headlights, obtaining a better level of lighting and a significant reduction in electricity consumption.

Inside the changing rooms, the existing lighting fixtures will be replaced with LED technology ones, an energy production system consisting of solar panels will be installed, the insulation of the walls that make up the changing rooms will be improved in order to reduce minimum temperature excursion.

An innovative thermal insulation will also be created in the intrados of the roof slab of the same building.

The security

The playing spaces will allow sporting activities to be carried out in safe conditions, taking into account the needs associated with the different types of activities.
