Caivano redevelopment, the reclamation project of the former Delphinia sports center presented

The reclamation project for the former Delphinia sports center was presented at Palazzo Chigi, a meeting place chosen to communicate that "The State is present, it responds", reiterated the Minister of Sport Abodi.

The former Delphinia sports center it will be a symbolic place where the community can regenerate, a headquarters for multidisciplinary activities. The Minister of Sports, Andrea Abodi, presented the project during a press conference at Palazzo Chigi, presenting with a speech the objectives of redevelopment and renovation of the former Delphinia sports center in Caivano. “The State is present, responds and enables a community to regenerate itself”, with these words the minister of sport opened the project presentation speech.
The sports center had been abandoned and vandalized from 2018 to today and has been seat of crime. The latest tragic and recent events, which involved two minors who were victims of rape, led the Government to decide to intervene. The decision was to renovate the entire area, committing 9 million and 300 thousand euros.

The Minister of Sports stated that with this project “we give a concrete, tangible signal: with everyone's effort we manage to give immediate answers that are not just announcements. The value of the structure takes on greater significance because sport, culture, education and social services will meet there". The redevelopment work is expected to be completed by the end of spring next year.
“For the Government it must become a replicable project to recover systems to give to people. Then we will also carry out actions to involve citizens to share the plans for what will be their sports facility"Said the president of Sport and Health, Marco Mezzaroma.
