Cagliari, the redevelopment of Piazza Delle Aquile begins.

Directed by technicians from the Municipality's Public Works Service, the extraordinary maintenance works in Piazza Delle Aquile in Pirri will start on Monday 8 May.

In addition to the cleaning and protective treatment of the wooden elements of the pergola, the project involves the removal of the planters placed at the ends of the square to position a system of furnishings to form a barrier to dissuade mechanical vehicles from access, but at the same time allow the passage of people, strollers or chairs on wheels of people with mobility difficulties.

The construction company Boi e Figli Srl, the contractor for the works, will remove all the damaged glass parapets and replace them with very thick plexiglass sheets, such as to guarantee adequate load-bearing and impact resistance. The repair of all plastered parts that show swelling or detachment and related painting is also envisaged.

New interventions are planned in the D'Azeglio and Marzabotto squares for which timely communication will be given.
