Brescia, the Region awards 38 new historic shops in the city and province
From tomorrow the 4 million tender for these realities
Brescia, the regional councilor for economic development, Guido Guidesi, awarded 161 new historic activities. Of these 38 are in Brescia and its province. A number that brings the total of activities recognized by the Lombardy Region to 2.395. These are brands with more than forty years of history behind them, recognized since 2004. Among the new additions, in particular, include 89 historic shops, 46 historic premises and 26 historic artisan workshops, some of which hold real records in terms of longevity.
In 2019, an amendment to the 'Consolidated text of regional laws on trade and fairs' was approved (regional law 6/2010). The reform also included artisan workshops to formally recognize the relevance of the heritage of historical activities.
“A day of celebration in which we say thank you to those Lombards who, with sacrifice and passion, have been carrying forward, for over 40 years, their activities which represent fundamental socio-economic safeguards for communities and territories. Their tradition takes Lombardy into the future” – says Councilor Guidesi – “The value and importance that the Region assigns to these activities is demonstrated with a specific tender worth 4 million euros which opens tomorrow, Wednesday 15 December.
