Brescia, even during the health emergency period, the offices of the School Building Sector of Public Works worked to allow the regular start of construction sites during the summertime.
Due to the stringent anti-contagion regulations in force until recently, it was not possible to start work earlier. However, as soon as the situation permitted, the interventions were started.

They are currently operational construction sites for the extraordinary maintenance of the wooden roof structure of the primary school “Battisti”, for the arrangement of the electrical systems of the “Alessandro Volta” primary school, for the fire prevention adaptation of the “Tito Speri” primary school, for the elimination of architectural barriers at the “Crispi” primary school and the “Mameli” primary school ", for the reclamation of the roof of the Bertolotti-Nava gym in via Malibran 81 and of the gym of the "Bellini" secondary school in via Buffalora, for the arrangement of the bathrooms, the demolition of the barriers and the replacement of the school's windows “Carducci” secondary school, for the complete renovation of the district heating line of the “Ugolini” primary school, for the renovation and energy requalification of the building once used as the Caretaker's House of the school complexes in via Sabbioneta 14, for the replacement integral part of the windows of the “Coccinella” nursery and the “Lamarmora” nursery school. Furthermore, the "Romanino" secondary school will be prepared to accommodate the pupils of the Fiumicello nursery school which will be affected by renovation works. anti-seismic adaptation.

Finally, new spaces will be recovered to be used as social services offices at the Lamarmora nursery school, the internal partitions of the Tovini secondary school will be built so that it can house the Giovanni XXIII primary school and new offices will be built for the management of the Tridentina school at Tiboni primary school.
“It is a painstaking and complicated operation that we are carrying out to guarantee our children efficient structures from every point of view,” explained the councilor for Public Works Valter Muchetti. “The interventions on the floors, on the roofs and on the electrical systems have started again. The works for energy efficiency and for the removal of architectural barriers have not been neglected, which is sometimes very complex because it also requires taking into account the constraints for the protection of buildings envisaged by the Superintendency. Last but not least, we are also intervening on anti-seismic adaptation, as in the case of the nursery school in Fiumicello.
