Brescia, Tari relief for non-domestic users

Brescia, the Municipal Administration has decided to apply the 25% reduction of the variable portion of the 2020 waste tax (Tari) to owners of non-domestic users who they had to stop their business. The economic categories affected by the closure as a result of the activity limitation measures were identified using the methods provided for by the Arera Resolution (Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment) no. 158/2020.

The sources were the Prime Ministerial Decrees of 8.3.2020, 9.3.2020, 11.3.2020, 10.4.2020 and 26.4.2020 and the various regional ordinances which applied further restrictions.
Those who, for reasons of business classification or otherwise, have not benefited from the automatic reduction can submit a simple request, electronically, declaring that they have had to close due to the provisions of the competent authorities. The application is activated from the Municipality's internet portal, with authentication, and requires the insertion of a few essential data. The Municipality will then process the requests received and issue a partial reversal note for the Tari charge.

“As promised in the City Council, when the resolution introducing the 25% discount on the 2020 TARI for businesses that were forced to close due to Covid-19 was presented, now the benefit will also be extended to businesses that have escaped classification", declared the The Councilor for Resources of the Institution Fabio Capra. “The promise was kept. Let's carry on like this. To relaunch the Brescia system, we are preparing a package with other concrete proposals for the autumn".
