Brescia, electrical substation decoration completed

Brescia, thanks to the collaboration with A2A – Unareti, continues the decoration work on the city's electrical substations carried out by the Department of Urban Regeneration together with the True Quality Association.

In recent days, the intervention concerning the cabin in via Monte Mascheda, in Caionvico, which is part of the lot of 20 cabins that will be redeveloped this year, was completed.
Present at the end of the works were the Councilor for Urban Regeneration Valter Muchetti, Giovanni Gandolfi and Mattia Talarico of the True Quality Association and Francesco Buresti, Business Manager Uni Reti e Calore of the A2A group.
For the cabin in via Monte Mascheda, as will be the case for all those that will be rearranged during 2020, the roof was also repainted using a special "anti-smog" titanium dioxide paint.
Activated by light, the paint helps to reduce nitrogen oxides which represent a significant problem for city pollution, it reflects the hottest radiation of sunlight, helping to reduce cabin temperatures and allows surfaces to be kept clean so that mold does not they manage to take root.
The idea, born in California, contributes to the fight against heat bubbles and A2A intends to test its effectiveness in reducing temperatures in electrical substations which, when they reach too high levels, can create technical problems. Some sensors will therefore be installed for remote monitoring. When the roofs of the 20 cabins are painted, for a total surface area of 150 square meters, the city will have a new weapon at its disposal, albeit a small one, to improve air quality.

The decoration project of the electrical substations owned by Unareti Spa, scattered throughout the municipal area, has reached its third year of activity. To date, starting from 2018, 27 cabins have been rearranged.
The graphic design and implementation were entrusted to the True Quality Cultural Association, which has been actively operating in the Brescia area for years, developing projects for the artistic redevelopment of urban spaces and social activities.
