249th anniversary of the Foundation of the Guardia di Finanza, Piantedosi's declaration
Guardia di Finanza Day falls every June 21st, in honor of the Battle of the Solstice fought during the First World War. The date chosen to commemorate its foundation dates back to 1774.
“On the occasion of the 249th anniversary of the foundation of the Guardia di Finanza, I address my profound gratitude to the women and men of the Fiamme Gialle for the commitment, dedication and professionalism with which, every day, in the most diverse scenarios, they operate to guarantee, together to other police forces, the safety of our citizens" declared the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi.
“Your expertise, combined with investigative and operational ability, represents a fundamental resource to combat illicit conduct and preserve the integrity and stability of the economic system. Activities to combat financial crime, tax evasion and money laundering are crucial to guaranteeing legality and justice in our country. Thank you for your valuable work. Best wishes to the Financial Police!” underlined the owner of the Interior Ministry.
