Alessandria, The literary prize “About women… in emergency” goes to Emanuela Bressan

Alessandria, From the council room of the Municipality, the mayor Gianfranco Cuttica of Revigliasco, announced the winner of the Literary Prize "About women... in emergency". The ceremony was also attended in person by the councilor for Equal Opportunities Cinzia Lumiera, the president of the Equal Opportunities Council, Nadia Biancato and, connected remotely, the councilor for public works and enhancement of municipal heritage, Giovanni Barosini.
The theme of the 2020 competition was the woman in emergency and the three finalists dealt with the aspect of the disease, in the end the winner was Emanuela Bressan, who won this edition with the story "A trail of freedom" on the theme of disability. The jury, also represented by the third and second place, Paolo Bagatin and Andrea Voltolini.
The winner lives in Jesolo where until 2005 she was a happy hotelier. Then the accident that forced her into a wheelchair, and a life to completely reinvent.
“My life has improved, certainly not physically, but I cleaned up my friendships, I started living day by day, without setting limits” said Emanuela who got her flying license in 2016 and with her new job, a alongside the traders of San Donà, she feels fulfilled.
As soon as health provisions allow it, Bressan will be in Alessandria for the in-person awards ceremony which will take place at the Botanical Garden, where the Council will present the regulations for the 2021 edition of the Literary Prize.
The Botanical Garden of Alessandria was then presented. The person in charge of this place of the heart, Angelo Ranzenigo, introduced the visit to the Garden, presenting it as the "living museum" that knows how to renew itself over time and which is not just a place with lush plants, but rather a place that involves everyone by talking of environment and well-being, which can be lived in complete autonomy even by people with various disabilities.
