Piacenza: Father and son get lost in the woods, found by the carabinieri

The two, arrived in the morning from Cremona for an excursion, they had lost their bearings and it was necessary to call in the carabinieri.

In the Selva di Ferriere area, the two got lost after having gone too far into the woods without realizing it. Disoriented, they found themselves surrounded by thick vegetation and continuous ups and downs, some very dangerous, with the increasingly concrete fear of not being able to find the path again to return to the car they had left on state road 654 after Selva.

Walking in search of a way out, the father requested the intervention of the carabinieri. The military personnel of the Ferriere Forestry Unit and their colleagues from the Farini Station, quickly studied the map of the woods in the area, thanks to the knowledge of the territory but above all thanks to the GPS coordinates that the man had managed to send from his cell phone, they pinpointed the exact spot where the two had gotten lost.

The rapid intervention of the Carabinieri of the Forestry Nucleus and Farini's colleagues made it possible to reach the father and son and lead them back along a safe path, after having climbed, with no small difficulty, the side of the hill. Frightened but unharmed, the carabinieri who had found them accompanied them to the street where they had parked their car.
