Piacenza: arrested for stalking, had a notebook of enemies

The Piacenza State Police, coordinated by the Piacenza Public Prosecutor's Office, has subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest a woman, investigated for stalking, possession of objects capable of offending and slander, committed against a young couple from Piacenza.

The investigations of the police officers of the Flying Squad have allowed them to ascertain that the woman, who already has several criminal records for similar facts, is seriously suspected of having started to persecute the young people, who had recently become parents, since October 2024, due to disagreements that occurred with some relatives of the man well over twenty years ago.

The stalking was mainly committed by telephone, using a fictitious number registered to a front man.

The victims found themselves living a nightmare, feeling constantly followed by someone who was watching them, and without any rational explanation for what was happening. In fact, they received continuous threats, with the sending of photographs taken near their home. Once they realized that behind the continuous sending of death threats there could be a distant acquaintance, after a meeting in the city, they filed a complaint against her.

The suspect was first subjected to a search, during which The investigators seized from the woman's vehicle both the phone number with which she committed the stalking acts and alarming material: two hammers, a knife, a box of matches, a lighter and a package of drain cleaner containing chemical acid. This last product caused particular concern, as the suspect had already threatened another victim in the past with using acid on her son.

In the woman's house, a notebook called "List of Enemies" was found. containing, among other things, photos of the main male victim of the persecution, as well as a photo taken of the internal courtyard of the Police Headquarters from a nearby balcony, a structure towards which the woman allegedly feels hatred due to a previous investigation for aggravated (and equally unfounded) threats against another person, for which she had recently been definitively sentenced.

Once she learned of the investigation against her, the woman decided to continue with the criminal conduct, filing a slanderous complaint against the main victim of stalking, in order to try to divert the investigation away from her.

In light of the evidentiary framework, the Judicial Authority issued the precautionary measure of house arrest, immediately carried out by the Flying Squad.
