After the accident, had stopped for a few seconds and was ran away without a trace.

But everything was in vain, because the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile of Fiorenzuola d'Arda, together with colleagues from Castell'Arquato, after a few days they managed to identify him and report it for failure to provide assistance, serious road injuries and fleeing from an accident resulting in personal injury.

A guy got into trouble 58 year old worker, originally from the province of Rome, but long resident in the town of Val d'Arda, protagonist of thecar accident on Friday 14 March 2025 around 23pm in the central Piazza XXV Febbraio in Fiorenzuola d'Arda (PC). The 58 year old, driving his car, has in fact a pedestrian was hit and seriously injured under the pouring rain.

The man, an 49 year old of the place had remained lying on the ground with a fracture e a wound on the legs, rescued by 118 had been urgently transported in red code at the Maggiore Hospital in Parma where he had undergone surgery and was subsequently discharged with a prognosis of almost 50 days.

The subsequent investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile together with their colleagues from Castell'Arquato have allowed, also thanks to the video surveillance images present in that area, at license plate reading system and to the first indications given by the victim, of locate the hit-and-run car.

The car had already been taken to a body shop for repairs the following Monday. The car had damage to the right front, a broken headlight, a dented hood, a broken windshield and a dented door pillar.

The owner 58 year old was tracked down and summoned to the barracks in Castell'Arquato where he said that all the damage had been caused by a roe deer that ran over him on the morning of March 15, 2025 in Vernasca along the road leading to the factory, his place of work.

Statements blatantly contradicting all the data which in the meantime the Carabinieri had already acquired, namely the damage to his car which was in the body shop was not at all compatible with having been hit by an animal and the time detected by the license plate reading system placed him in a completely different time slot to the one declared.

Faced with his responsibilities, the worker was reported for road personal injury, failure to provide assistance and driver escape.
