Cortemaggiore: caught with drugs and money in the car. Arrested by the Carabinieri and taken to prison at “Novate”.

Last Friday afternoon, the Carabinieri of the Operations and Radiomobile Unit of Fiorenzuola d'Arda arrested a 29-year-old homeless foreigner after he was found in possession of 25 grams divided into over 20 doses of cocaine and heroin and 1050 euros in cash.

The young man had been noticed, together with another 47-year-old compatriot, by the police on board a rental car in the streets of Cortemaggiore (PC). The military, suspicious of the attitude of the two foreigners and having never seen them before in the village, they therefore decided to carry out a more in-depth check.

After the search, the police immediately found the money believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, approximately 29 grams of cocaine divided into 18 wraps, over 8 grams of heroin divided into 6 wraps. Subsequent further investigations, the military ascertained that he was present on national territory in defiance of the expulsion decree issued by the Court of Verona in 2022.

His 47-year-old compatriot, however, resident in the province of Cremona, was reported for detention for the purposes of drug dealing because after the search of the car he was driving, two more doses of cocaine were found packaged and hidden inside a removable panel of the car.

At the end of all the formalities the 29 year old irregular young man was arrested for drug dealing and associated with the Piacenza prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
