Pescara: State Police arrests 34-year-old for resisting a public official

The patrol officers have drawn in arrest un 34enne for resisting a public official. On Saturday afternoon, a patrol car intervened in the city centre, near V.le Muzii, following a report to the emergency line, for a ongoing argument between two young fiancés.

Once they arrived on site, the police immediately blocked the man who was inveighing against his girlfriend, also damaging the furniture in the apartment. The 34-year-old immediately showed intolerance towards the agents' activity, unjustifiably taking on a violent attitude.

Despite the appeals to remain calm, the man attacked the police officers who, with no small amount of difficulty, managed to stop him and make him get on board the patrol car. This operation was difficult due to the violent conduct of the arrested man who, undaunted, continued to resist, repeatedly insulting the policemen and even trying to hit them.

This attitude continued also in the Police Headquarters where the 34-year-old was accompanied for identification. At the conclusion of the ritual activities, the man was arrested as mentioned for resistance as well as reported to the Judicial Authority for threat and aggravated injuries. The arrested man was finally taken to the local prison.
