During operations to combat drug dealing, on the evening of January 15, 2025, the State Police arrested 2 men, a 59-year-old Italian with a criminal record and a 43-year-old foreigner, who had organized a drug dealing activity in an illegally occupied public housing unit.
The investigators of the Flying Squad had monitored theapartment affected by an anomalous coming and going of people and where a camera had also been installed on the landing. The same, moreover, it was not assigned to a legitimate owner but was occupied illegally. Therefore, after having organized a specific service, The investigators managed to gain access to the building, where they actually found a drug dealing and preparation station.
While the 43-year-old took care of the sales and welcoming customers, the 59-year-old was concerned with “cooking” the cocaine to transform it into crack and packaging the doses.
Altogether they were approximately 30 grams of crack were found and seized, in addition to the substances used to prepare it, a camp stove used for the cooking process and the material for packaging it in doses. They were Furthermore, 470 euros in 5 and 10 euro notes were seized, likely proceeds of drug dealing, both arrested being unemployed and 2 baseball bats found next to the entrance door, ready for possible use, as well as theCCTV system installed to facilitate illegal activity. Finally, they were an electric scooter and an electric bicycle were also seized, the latter probably of criminal origin and on which further investigations are underway, for which the arrested were also reported for receiving stolen goods.
Once Apartment vacated thanks to arrest of squatters, the intervention of the Local Police was immediately requested and the accommodation was made available again to ATER who, immediately, proceeded to wall it up.
