Pescara: 3 arrests and 14 people reported for damage to the oncology department of the Santo Spirito Hospital
Pescara, the 14 people who last September 13 damaged the oncology department of the Santo Spirito Hospital and threatened some health workers were identified and reported. For 3 of those reported, the current benefits were suspended and the prison sentence was reinstated.

Following the riots that occurred at the hospital in Pescara In the early hours of the morning on Friday 13 September, investigative activities were immediately launched by the State Police aimed at identifying the subjects involved in the criminal action. The situation had also been followed and monitored during a dedicated Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, urgently convened by the Prefect of Pescara.
Based on the investigative activities of the Flying Squad, in the early hours of the morning of 18/09/2024, in the city of Pescara, with the assistance of the crews of the crime prevention department, a 3 prison measures following the revocation of the benefits granted issued by the Pescara surveillance office towards a woman and two men all with police records which would be, barring the presumption of innocence, involved together with others, of serious and unjustified behaviors committed last Friday at the oncology department of the Santo Spirito hospital in Pescara.
At the end of the investigations aimed at identifying those responsible, after having notified the Public Prosecutor's Office of Pescara, we proceeded to referral of 14 people all involved in various capacities, except for the presumption of innocence, of damage, aggravated threat and interruption of public service.
In this circumstance the same would be penetrated with violence inside the hospital oncology department where they allegedly inveighed and threatened the healthcare staff for the death of a relative of theirs who was hospitalized and damaged the structure, interrupting the hospital service for a significant period.
This police operation is the first immediate response to the disturbances that occurred a few days ago at the hospital. It was conducted promptly and effectively, in light of the issuing of a provision issued by the magistrate of the Pescara surveillance office and the Pescara public prosecutor's office, which was notified of the first outcome of the investigations.
The investigative activities coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Pescara continue with the aim of identifying other accomplices of the crimes committed inside the hospital structure that have shaken public opinion, as is known, not only in Pescara.
