Perugia: caught with 230 grams of cocaine in Piazza Grimana, arrested

The Carabinieri of the Perugia-Fortebraccio Station arrested a 21-year-old of Albanian origins in flagrante delicto, held responsible for the possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

The military, during a territorial control service, noticed the man near Piazza Grimana who, having noticed the presence of the military, attempted to escape. Reached and stopped by the officers, he was subjected to a search during which the Carabinieri found eight heat-sealed packages ready for sale containing cocaine.

The military search operations extended to the young man's home, where they were found and seized a further 230 grams of cocaine, 1.300 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the criminal activity, and material for packaging the drug.

On the basis of such significant evidence, the interested party was declared under arrest, a provision which was validated by the Judge of the Court of Perugia, who ordered the pre-trial detention in prison of the same.
