Perugia: Attempted robbery of a 20-year-old, 5 minors arrested

The Carabinieri of the Company and Station Radiomobile Section of Perugia have five young people were arrested in flagrante delicto, including two adults, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old, and three minors, aged 17, held responsible for the crime of attempted robbery in collaboration. The serious criminal event took place in the Fontivegge district of the capital, near the Minimetrò stop, where an 20 year old, domiciled in the city, he was the victim of the criminal action carried out by the aforementioned youths.

According to the reconstruction of the dynamics, the boy was allegedly surrounded by the group, whose members threatened him with the intent of stealing money from him, a few euros. Fortunately the attempt was unsuccessful as the victim managed to free himself and immediately alert 112. The rapid intervention carried out by the military of the Radiomobile Section allowed us to immediately identify and stop the five perpetrators of the criminal action, who have been arrested and for whom the respective magistrates on duty of the ordinary Public Prosecutor's Office and for minors of Perugia have ordered their submission to the regime of house arrest.

The service operation is to be seen in the context of a greater presence sought by the Carabinieri garrisons in the capital, in particular close to areas that are more sensitive in terms of public order and safety, so as to ensure targeted and timely interventions in similar cases, capable of defusing forms of social alarm and a lower perception of safety on the part of citizens.
