A Chinese entrepreneur has been arrested and held responsible for exploiting 9 workers in a textile company with exhausting shifts, paying them a few cents per head with no workplace safety measures and encouraging illegal immigration.

The Carabinieri of the Station of Marsciano and staff of the Nucleus Inspectorate of Labor of Perugia, collaborated in the executive office by those of Terni they arrested a Chinese citizen, 36 years old, held responsible for exploitation of illegal labor and aiding and abetting illegal immigration.
The investigative activity, carried out as part of the multi-agency project “ALT Corporal TWO”, funded from the Migration Policies fund of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, led the military to ascertain that the man, owner of a Chinese textile company, exploited 9 non-EU workers, of which 4 of Pakistani nationality in possession of residence documents e 5 illegal immigrants of Chinese nationality, also favoring irregular entry into the national territory for one of them.
All the workers were without contracts and without any protection, nor had they received the required safety training.
From the first checks it emerged that the entrepreneur subjected the "employees" to grueling work shifts, from the early hours of the day until the evening, paying them a few cents each, that is, recognizing they receive a "piece rate" salary.
The operators therefore suspended their business activities and subjected to I seize the two large warehouses, used, with the industrial equipment and textile products inside ready for subsequent sale.
During the checks they were high financial penalties of around 100.000 euros by recovering on the social security plan and insurance to INPS and INAIL over 15.000 euros.
At the end of the investigations, the man was declared under arrest for the crimes indicated above and as ordered by the public prosecutor's office of Spoleto, he was subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest pending a very direct trial.
