I Carabinieri of the Cannara Station have a 53-year-old was released into custody, resident in Bevagna (PG), who, at the sight of the crew of the Benemerita, suddenly attempted to flee.
The soldiers, having caught the man wandering around the town centre, at night and on board a car, approached him for a check.
The latter, however, initially slowed down, then set off again at full speed in an attempt to disappear into the adjacent streets.
Once reached and blocked, the soldiers immediately ascertained that the man had his license revoked in June 2024 with a provision issued by the Prefecture of Perugia.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the same person, in violation of the revocation order, had already been checked while driving the same car and that for this reason the vehicle had been blocked from circulation and subjected to administrative detention for 3 months, with custody entrusted to the owner.
Being a repetition of the same violation, this time the driver was penalised report to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Spoleto. Furthermore, he was given the same administrative penalties for an amount of approximately 4.000 euros, while the car, which also had no inspection, was seized for confiscation purposes.
