Perugia: Checks on the provincial territory, four 20-year-olds stopped

The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Perugia, through the widespread presence of the dependent Company and Station Commands, are intensifying the territorial control activities conducted daily, on the basis of careful planning and effective use of resources, which can counter the various forms of illegality and the related ways in which they manifest themselves.

In this context, in the numerous municipalities and along the main communication arteries, due to the various violations ascertained, the Carabinieri of the aforementioned garrisons have reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Perugia five people, as responsible, two of whom were also reported to the local Prefecture because they were drug users.

Un 20enne of Albanian origin, stopped while driving his car, subjected to a personal search, was found in possession of 3 heat-sealed packages containing a narcotic substance of the “cocaine” type for a total weight of 3 g, in addition to 140 euros in cash believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing;

Un 43enne of Peruvian origin, caught driving with symptoms compatible with previous alcohol consumption, refused to undergo the relevant tests. He was also the driving licence was withdrawn, while the vehicle was seized;

• Un 26enne Peruvian, stopped while driving his car and subjected to a breathalyser test, he was found to be in a state of alcoholic intoxication with a rate of 1.89g/l, conduct constituting a criminal offence;
• Un 20enne Italian and a peer from Senegal, who, on various occasions, checked in that centre, following a personal search, were found in possession of approximately 10 g of a narcotic of the “marijuana” type the first, and 1,8 g of the same substance and 9 g of the “hashish” type the second.

All drugs and money believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing were seized.

The institutional activities of the Arma commands will continue, in order to optimize the correlation between the controls and the active presence of the Institution on the territory, an essential strategy for the Provincial Command of Perugia, daily engaged in strengthening the sense of security among citizens in the many local realities of Perugia.
