Perugia: 28-year-old caught and arrested by the Carabinieri while trying to steal from an apartment

Having promptly arrived on site and identified the building, the military initially noted that the entrance door showed clear signs of having been forced open and, subsequently entering the building, they caught the thief in action, later found to be a 28 year old Romanian homeless and with precedents of the police, who, among other things, was trying to hide on a landing.

The man, in the circumstances, was found in possession of burglary tools (a hammer, two files and a utility knife), being then accompanied to the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri where, at the end of the ritual formalities, he was declared under arrest and held in security cells.
