Perugia: Carabinieri tighten their activities in controlling the territory, 9 people reported to the Judicial Authority and 2 reported to the Prefecture plus 8 driving licenses withdrawn

The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Perugia, taking advantage of the widespread presence of the dependent Company and Station Commands, are intensifying territorial control activities through careful planning and effective use of resources, in order to prevent and combat the various forms of illegality more effectively. In this context, in the numerous municipalities of the Province and along the main communication arteries, The Carabinieri of the aforementioned offices found various violations of the law in different sectors, proceeding to report nine people at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Offices of Perugia and Spoleto and reporting two to the local Prefecture for drug users.

In particular, the various devices deployed on the territory have also placed particular attention to aspects related to road traffic safety. In detail, in their respective jurisdictions:

Todi Mobile Radio Quota, Marsciano, Monte Castello di Vibio and Deruta Stations, to:

• Fratta Todina a 64-year-old man, stopped and checked while driving his car, subjected to a breathalyser test, was found to be in a state of alcohol intoxication with a level of 1.93g/l, for which his driving licence was withdrawn;
• Marsciano a 52-year-old man, driving his own car, stopped by the operating personnel and refused to undergo tests relating to the use of narcotic substances; he was also charged with an administrative violation for "driving a vehicle with a revoked license" and the vehicle was therefore seized;
• Deruta a 25-year-old and a 31-year-old, stopped and checked, were found in possession of the following narcotic substances: approximately 2,3 g of hashish and 2,4 g of marijuana. The narcotic was seized and both subjects were reported to the local Prefecture pursuant to art. 75 DPR 309/90;

Radiomobile Quota of Città della Pieve, to:

• Castiglione del Lago, stopped a 35-year-old and a 22-year-old, who, in separate situations, were checked while driving their cars and subjected to breathalyser tests, and were found to be in a state of alcoholic intoxication with a blood alcohol level of 1.33 g/l and 1.45 g/l respectively, for which reason their driving licences were withdrawn;
• Piegaro, a 37-year-old woman checked following a single-vehicle accident, with no injuries, was caught driving her own car while under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 1.31 g/l, for which her driving license was withdrawn;

 Spoleto Radiomobile Quota, to:

• Spoleto, a 26-year-old local woman was found in possession of a package of a narcotic substance of the “methamphetamine” type for a total of 16 g, the woman was reported at liberty pursuant to art. 73 DPR 309/90 and the drugs were seized;
• Monteleone di Spoleto, a 35-year-old from outside the region, caught driving with symptoms compatible with previous alcohol consumption, subjected to a breathalyser test, was reported as he tested positive with a blood alcohol level of 0,80g/l, with his driving licence revoked;

Deruta Station, on site:

• A 28-year-old and a 24-year-old were caught driving under the influence of alcohol at different times, with a blood alcohol level of 1.36 g/l and 1,46 g/l respectively, for which their driving licences were withdrawn.

The institutional activities of the Arma Commands will continue in order to increase the controls and the active presence of the Institution on the territory, an essential strategy for the Provincial Command of Perugia, which is daily committed to strengthening the sense of security among citizens in the many local areas of the Perugia area.
