Marsciano (Perugia), 94-year-old in difficulty due to excessive heat asks the Carabinieri for help

Around 14.00 pm on Monday 22 July an elderly man, of foreign origins, resident in Marsciano, contacted the Single Emergency Number – NUE – 112 to ask for help as he was suffering from the suffocating heat.

The operator who received the call, having realized the problem and difficulties faced by the elderly person, immediately sent a patrol to his home to check their health conditions.

The Carabinieri of the Marsciano station, arrived on site, were welcomed by the interested party, a 94-year-old Atlanta native (USA), which, being alone, he was in obvious discomfort due to the excessively high temperatures, so much so that it is difficult to breathe and carry out the most basic daily gestures, how to even be able to turn on the air conditioner in the home.

The military, after offering the elderly man a cooling drink, they turned on the air conditioner to cool the room e, after calming him down, ascertain its good condition, have resumed carrying out their institutional tasks.
