In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Gubbio Company They executed a personal precautionary measure against a 17-year-old local boy, held responsible for a series of crimes including theft, receiving stolen goods and damage, translating it to a juvenile community in southern Italy.

In the past few months, the minor had committed a series of crimes throughout the Eugubino-Gualdo area, for which the Carabinieri had started investigations, also conducted through the analysis of public video surveillance cameras, identifying a unique matrix in the young man himself.

In one circumstance, the minor, while he was on board a regional train headed to Fossato di Vico, taking advantage of a momentary distraction of the controller, had taken possession of his work tablet, then getting off the train. On another occasion, for trivial reasons, he had damaged the public elevator in Gualdo Tadino, disconnecting the video surveillance camera and making it partially unusable.

On other occasions, the young man had come into possession of stolen mopeds, with which he had brazenly driven around the Eugubino-Gualdo territory, even in one case refueling at a service station in Fossato di Vico, using a stolen credit card, with which he then made other personal expenses.
Based on the many reports received, the Carabinieri of the Gubbio, Gualdo Tadino and Fossato di Vico (Perugia) Stations, with the help of the Operations and Radiomobile Unit, have started detailed investigations, analyzing public video surveillance systems and identifying several witnesses, interviewed for summary information. The investigations have also allowed the stolen mopeds to be found, all returned to their rightful owners.

The evidentiary material acquired allowed us to identify without a doubt the perpetrator of the numerous crimes in the 17-year-old, for whom the Carabinieri reported in detail to the Juvenile Judicial Authority of Perugia.

Following the investigations, at the request of Chief Prosecutor Flaminio Monteleone, having confirmed and shared the contested criminal hypotheses, the Judge for preliminary investigations of the Juvenile Court of Perugia issued the personal precautionary measure of placement in a community against the minor.
