Voghera: a person reported for resisting a public official and illegal possession of lock picks.

The military personnel of the Operational Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Voghera have reported LI, a 35-year-old from Legnago (VR), at liberty for resisting a public official and illegally carrying lock picks suitable for burglary.

The Company's military personnel intervened in via Vittorio Veneto at the commercial establishment "Bar Pasticceria IRIA", where an attempted intrusion had been reported. Having arrived promptly on site, they noticed the individual near the shutter, who, at the sight of the officers, attempted to flee on a bicycle.

After a short chase, the military stopped him. In the circumstance the man put up a strong resistance, making the operations difficult.
Once calmed down, he was subjected to a personal search, following which he was found in possession of a screwdriver, which he used to try to force open the shutter of the bar.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the bicycle used by the criminal had been stolen in Tortona (AL).
