Oristano: Intensified checks in the province, 324 people identified

As part of the intensification of the prevention and repression activities of crimes ordered by the Provincial Command, the Carabinieri of the Oristano, Ghilarza and Mogoro Companies with Radiomobile patrols and the Carabinieri Stations, They carried out a coordinated service of extraordinary control of the territory over a wide area, patrolling mainly the localities of the city centres and the coastal marine areas of Oristano-Torregrande, Cabras and Marrubiu.

Following the checks A total of 324 people were identified and 168 vehicles were checked., one of which was placed under criminal seizure for the purposes of confiscation and 3 driving licenses withdrawn, 9 public establishments checked.

The most serious violations were found against 2 people reported to the Judicial Authority for driving in state of alcoholic intoxication (art. 186 cds) because, when tested while driving their respective cars, they were found to have an alcohol level above the legal limit.

The same violation, but of an administrative nature, was contested to 2 other people caught driving with an illegal blood alcohol level.

During the checks, a pensioner from Cabras was also tracked down and arrested and will have to serve his sentence. 2 years and 7 months of house arrest for attempted murder for an assault with injury dating back to November of 2022, against a neighbor who was hit on the head with a billhook.

The checks by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Oristano continue, especially for the prevention and repression of illicit drug trafficking also with the help of the canine units of the Carabinieri Cacciatori Squadron of Abbasanta.
