The rescue
The two soldiers, who arrived immediately on the scene, they entered the canal without hesitation and they reached the woman, managing to keep her safe and calm her down until the arrival of the Oristano Fire Brigade. With the help of a special recovery harness and the constant collaboration of the Carabinieri, the rescuers have lifted the woman from the water, finally bringing her to safety.
Once rescued, the old woman was entrusted to the 118 health personnel e transported to the emergency room of the San Martino hospital in Oristano, where he received the necessary treatment. According to doctors, the woman is out of danger and would not have suffered serious consequences.
