Oristano lights up the magic of Christmas 2024 with lights and animations in the center.

Since last Saturday in the streets of the city centre of Oristano and in the hamlets the official start of the celebrations for Christmas 2024. These days it is also being completed the setting up of the Christmas Village, which will be inaugurated in Piazza Eleonora on Saturday 7 December, and the positioning of the trees and the illuminated stars.

The entertainment and Christmas party program It was created thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality and the natural shopping centre “Centro città Oristano”. The Municipal Council, on the proposal of the Mayor Massimiliano Sanna and the Councillor for Culture Luca Faedda, participates with a contribution of 46 euros against a total expenditure of 900 euros.

"The collaboration between the Municipality and the Natural Shopping Centre will allow for the best valorisation of the historic centre as a natural place for social life and the promotion of commercial activities in the city centre. - Explains Mayor Massimiliano Sanna -. As with other initiatives, the same attention will be given to other areas of the city and to the hamlets where the festive atmosphere can be felt.".

The rich program prepared for this year, in addition to the lights in the city center and in the hamlets, It also includes the Christmas Village and the Market in 12 houses: 4 where different settings of Santa Claus' village can be represented (the post office, Santa's living room, Mrs. Claus's kitchen and the elves' workshop) and 8 which will host the usual Christmas market.

The entertainment and shows in the 4 houses of the village and in the streets of the center will be provided by extras. In collaboration with the Vespa Club and the Fiat 500 Club who will organize “The charge of the elves on classic wheels”, the elves, Santa's helpers, They will move along the streets of the center on their vintage vehicles to give sweets and chocolates to the little ones. The superanimators will also be present with the characters so loved by the little ones and then lots of music with the band and the city choirs.
