Oristano: extraordinary territorial control services continue, 1 arrest and 7 reports

The crime prevention activity organized by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Oristano is intensifying, especially on weekends; the Carabinieri of the three Companies (Oristano, Mogoro and Ghilarza) carried out a coordinated service of extraordinary control of the territory in the capital and in the municipalities of the province aimed at control of public establishments, road traffic, for the prevention of the so-called "Saturday night massacres" and to combat drug dealing and drug use, especially among the youngest, through an intensification of road checks on the main communication arteries, also focusing on some peripheral and little frequented areas.

In total, 602 people were identified and checked (of which 195 were burdened by police records), 335 vehicles, 11 traffic violations issued, 9 public establishments checked; furthermore:

• in Oristano, in execution of an order for imprisonment issued by the Attorney General of the Republic at the Court of Appeal of Cagliari - Criminal Enforcement Office, a person, already known to the police, was arrested and has to serve a cumulative sentence of 3 years and 10 months for multiple crimes of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; the arrested person was transferred to the Massama prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities;
• in Fordongianus (OR), a person already known to the police, was reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Oristano for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; subjected to a personal search, she was found in possession of 394 grams of marijuana divided into doses;
• in Santa Giusta (OR), two young people were reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Oristano for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; both subjected to a personal search were found in possession of 2 grams of marijuana divided into doses;
• in Abbasanta (OR), a person was reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Oristano for driving under the influence of alcohol since, following a traffic check carried out in that locality “Zaccardani”, he was caught driving his own car in a state of alcoholic intoxication as confirmed by the breathalyser supplied; his driving licence was withdrawn immediately;
• in Uras (OR), a person was reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Oristano for driving under the influence of alcohol since, following a road traffic check, he was caught driving his own car under the influence of alcohol ascertained by means of the breathalyser supplied; his driving licence was withdrawn immediately;
• in Nurachi (OR) two people have been reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Oristano as they are considered jointly responsible for receiving stolen goods and possession of protected fish species; subjected to road traffic checks were found in possession of three containers containing, in total, 90 kg. of live sea urchins, whose fishing is currently prohibited. The molluscs were immediately reintroduced into the marine environment by the prevention technicians of the ASL of Oristano, who intervened following a request for intervention by the military;
• in Oristano, in this Via Cagliari, a person already known to the police, was reported to the local Prefecture-UTG for personal use of narcotic substances since, following personal searches, he was found in possession of 5 grams of "cocaine".

The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Oristano are always very attentive to the protection of the weak and especially minors, who are particularly vulnerable, given their young age, to forms of widespread illegality that are unfortunately always present in modern society.
